IWM Director Discusses Perspectives of Digital Education Centers
How can digital education centers contribute in the long term to the further development of schools and teaching? What strategies are needed to create sustainable structures? And how can research, policymaking, and educational practice be more closely interconnected?
These questions were at the heart of a talk by the Standing Scientific Commission on Education Policy (SWK) in early December, entitled “Centers of Digital Education: Strategies for the Future.” Among the participants was Prof. Dr. Ulrike Cress, Director of the Leibniz Institute für Wissensmedien (IWM) and a member of the SWK.
Together with Olaf Köller (IPN Kiel), Wilfried Kühner (State Secretary of Saxony), Matthias Graf von Kielmansegg (Vodafone Foundation), Arndt Kwiatkowski and Christophe Speroni (bettermarks), she discussed key challenges and perspectives for a future-oriented digital education landscape.
